As managing director of mobile health, Kara leads Medidata’s efforts to support mobile-enabled clinical trials and launched mobile health (mHealth) as a new business unit in 2015. Prior to this, Kara served as chief of staff to the company's CEO and president, and a vice president of strategy. Before joining Medidata in 2012, Kara spent four years at McKinsey & Company, where she consulted for life sciences and healthcare provider clients. She then moved to Ikaria (now Mallinckrodt), a critical-care focused biotech, where she worked on acquiring new therapies as a member of the business development group.
